Reverend DeNon A. Porter, a native of Northern Virginia, joined the Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in 1993 under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Solomon L. Drake. As a member, he served as an Associate Minister, Sunday School instructor, Inspirational Choir member, Young Adult Ministry President and Prayer Retreat Ministry Advisor. He answered the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and was licensed (2002) and ordained (2014) by Pastor Drake and accepted the call to pastor in July 2016.

He is a graduate of Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio, Television and Film with a minor in African-American Studies, the University of Southern California where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree and Moody Theological Seminary having earned the Master of Divinity degree in May 2021.

Pastor Porter has been married since June 1998 to Michelle Nicole Porter, a native of Baltimore, Maryland. Together, they have been blessed to parent four wonderful children: Calvin, Chloe, Candace and Camille.
